Bale Fights Dragons

'American Psycho' Christian Bale is in negotiations to star in 'Reign of Fire', a ‘dragons taking over the world’ action film due to be directed by Rob Bowman who was in control of The X-Files foray onto the big screen.

'Reign of Fire' will be set in England. Word on the plot is that a shed-load of dragons emerge from the earth, setting fire to all and sundry with their dragon breath in an effort to dominate the planet.

Bale is to play the role of the son of a woman who has been killed by a fire breathing beastie. Once the dragons have taken over, Bale becomes a ‘fire chief’ - leader of a small group of survivors. He then meets an American dragon slayer and they team up in the hope of destroying the dragon queen.

Bale is currently still in Greece filming Corelli, where we are told he has yet to encounter any mythical dangers.
